Miley Cyrus admitted she lied to ex Liam Hemsworth for nearly 10 years about her virginity
After starring together in the romance film The Last Song (2010), Cyrus and Hemsworth, 35, became friends on the set and eventually made their way into real life.
Cyrus informed Hemsworth, who was 19 at the time, that she had previously lost her virginity to someone else because he was worried he would think she was a “loser.”
She claimed, “I couldn’t think of anyone, so I just made up someone that I knew but we’d never really had sex before.”
The 32-year-old acknowledged lying to her ex-husband Liam Hemsworth about having sex with a guy she met while she was a guest on the popular Call Her Daddy podcast with presenter Alex Cooper. She did not disclose to him that she had a hookup with her girlfriends years prior.
For almost ten years, she ‘hung on’ to the lie, but when one of Hemsworth’s friends married the man she claimed to have lost her virginity to,
she was compelled to come clean.
“So then [Hemsworth] was like, ‘Now my friend is marrying someone you’ve hooked up with’,” Cyrus said. “I had to admit that I had lied when I was sixteen at the age of twenty-four.”
She didn’t say anything else, though.

Additionally, she discussed her romantic experiences, revealing that she was ‘drawn to girls much before [she] was ever attracted to guys’.
At the age of eleven or twelve, Cyrus added, “I got most of my girlfriends to hook up with me because I didn’t really understand what my friends were doing with guys.”
Cyrus disclosed, “I had two girls the first time I ever hooked up with anyone.”
The ‘Wrecking Ball’ singer disclosed on the show that she ‘didn’t go all the way with a male’ until she was sixteen years old,
and that these hookups went ‘beyond first base’.
“But that’s pretty crazy,” she added, “because I ended up marrying the guy.”
After getting married in 2018, Cyrus and Hemsworth broke up less than a year later, citing a desire to “focus on themselves and careers,” according to a spokesman.
